We take data privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information in connection with the use of Search and Replace Colors and Fonts.

Limited Use Policy

Search and Replace Colors and Fonts’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How We Handle Your Document Content

To find and replace colors, fonts, and text styles, Search and Replace Colors and Fonts reads and edits the content of the presentation or document you are actively working in — its colors, fonts, and the text those styles apply to. We treat this content as sensitive. It is processed solely to carry out the action you request, within Google’s infrastructure, and only at the moment you run the add-on. We never copy your document content to our own servers, never share it with third parties, and never use it for advertising or to train any model.

Information Collection

We collect the following information when you use Search and Replace Colors and Fonts:

  • User email address for identification and authentication.
  • Data generated during the use of Search and Replace Colors and Fonts, such as preferences and option selections.

Use of Information

Your information is used to:

  • Provide and improve the features of Search and Replace Colors and Fonts.
  • Communicate with you about your account or updates to Search and Replace Colors and Fonts.
  • Ensure security and protection against fraud.

Information Sharing

We only share your information with third parties in the following cases:

  • With your explicit consent.
  • To comply with the law, a legal procedure, or a governmental request.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Search and Replace Colors and Fonts, our users, or the public.

Service Providers

We rely on a limited number of trusted third-party service providers (sub-processors) to operate our service. They process personal data only on our behalf, solely as needed to provide their service, and under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations:

  • Stripe: payment processing. When you purchase the lifetime unlock, your payment is handled by Stripe, Inc. We never receive or store your full card details. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
  • Brevo: email delivery. We use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) to send account-related and transactional emails. See Brevo’s Privacy Policy.

Data Security

We apply the following measures to protect your data, including the sensitive content of the documents you work on:

  • Processing within Google’s infrastructure. Search and Replace Colors and Fonts runs as a Google Workspace Add-on on Google Apps Script. Your presentation and document content is read and edited inside Google’s secure infrastructure and is never transmitted to or stored on our own servers.
  • No third-party access to your content. We never send your document content to third parties. The add-on contacts external services (our payment and email sub-processors) using only your email address — never the content of your files.
  • Encryption in transit. All communication with Google APIs and with our sub-processors takes place over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.
  • Encryption at rest. The limited data we store — your email address and the preferences you create, such as saved palettes and named text styles — is held on infrastructure provided by Google, Stripe, and Brevo that encrypts data at rest.
  • Least-privilege access. The add-on only accesses the presentation or document you currently have open when you run it. It does not browse, read, or store your other files.
  • Restricted access. Access to the personal data we store is limited to authorized personnel and protected by authentication controls, and we take measures to guard against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service. Preferences such as saved palettes and named text styles are stored with your document and are removed when you delete the document or remove the add-on’s stored data from it. You may ask us to delete the account data we hold (your email address) at any time by contacting us at olivier@toolbow.com.

Your Rights
