We take data privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information in connection with the use of Auto Layout & Grid.

Limited Use Policy

Auto Layout & Grid’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How We Handle Your Presentation Content

Auto Layout & Grid works on the structure and geometry of your slides — the position, size, alignment, spacing, and rotation of the objects on them. It does not read the text content of your presentation. We treat the structural data it reads as sensitive, and it is processed solely to carry out the layout action you request, within Google’s infrastructure, and only at the moment you run the add-on. We never copy your presentation to our own servers, never share its content with third parties, and never use it for advertising or to train any model.

Information Collection

Auto Layout & Grid works on the structure and geometry of your presentation. It does not read your document text content. We collect:

  • Your email address for identification and authentication.
  • Preferences you create while using Auto Layout & Grid, such as your saved spacing tokens.

Use of Information

Your information is used to:

  • Provide and improve the features of Auto Layout & Grid.
  • Communicate with you about your account or updates to Auto Layout & Grid.
  • Ensure security and protection against fraud.

Information Sharing

We only share your information with third parties in the following cases:

  • With your explicit consent.
  • To comply with the law, a legal procedure, or a governmental request.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Auto Layout & Grid, our users, or the public.
  • With trusted service providers who process data on our behalf to operate the service, as described below.

Service Providers

We rely on a limited number of trusted third-party service providers (sub-processors) to operate our service. They process personal data only on our behalf, solely as needed to provide their service, and under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations:

  • Stripe: payment processing. When you purchase the lifetime unlock, your payment is handled by Stripe, Inc. We never receive or store your full card details. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
  • Brevo: email delivery. We use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) to send account-related and transactional emails. See Brevo’s Privacy Policy.

Data Security

We apply the following measures to protect your data, including the sensitive content of the presentations you work on:

  • Processing within Google’s infrastructure. Auto Layout & Grid runs as a Google Workspace Add-on on Google Apps Script. Your presentation is read and edited inside Google’s secure infrastructure and is never transmitted to or stored on our own servers.
  • No third-party access to your content. We never send your presentation content to third parties. The add-on contacts external services (our payment and email sub-processors) using only your email address — never the content of your files.
  • Encryption in transit. All communication with Google APIs and with our sub-processors takes place over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.
  • Encryption at rest. The limited data we store — your email address and the preferences you create, such as your saved spacing tokens — is held on infrastructure provided by Google, Stripe, and Brevo that encrypts data at rest.
  • Least-privilege access. The add-on only accesses the presentation you currently have open when you run it. It does not browse, read, or store your other files.
  • Restricted access. Access to the personal data we store is limited to authorized personnel and protected by authentication controls, and we take measures to guard against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service. Preferences such as your saved spacing tokens are stored with your presentation and are removed when you delete the presentation or remove the add-on’s stored data from it. You may ask us to delete the account data we hold (your email address) at any time by contacting us at olivier@toolbow.com.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information that we hold. To exercise these rights, please contact us at olivier@toolbow.com.

Changes to this Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page.
